LaCar Connections started from a simple observation. There are millions of people who love cars and very few good places to meet the ones near you. Forums are anonymous, social media is noise, and club nights only help if you already belong to a club.
Connections is a profile, a search and a conversation. You write down what you drive, what you have owned, and what you enjoy talking about. Someone three towns over reads it, recognises the same obsession, and says hello. That is the whole idea.
It is deliberately broad. Classic, modern, hot hatch, tractor, track car, project on axle stands. The sports and supercar world is well served already. Everybody else is who we built this for, which is why the membership could stretch to millions across the world.
We care about tone. This is a friendly place with real names, real cars and a low tolerance for nonsense. Every member can report and block, and the community guidelines are short enough to actually read.
The things everyone asks first
Is this a dating site?
No. Connections is about friendship and shared enthusiasm. People come here to talk cars, arrange meets and find someone to drive with, not to date.
Do I need an interesting car?
No. A twenty year old diesel estate with a good story is as welcome as anything with a badge on the bonnet. You do not even need to own a car right now.
What does it cost?
A basic account is free and stays free. Connections Plus is £5 a month or £50 for twelve months, cancel any time. When a paid period ends the account simply reverts to basic.
What happens to my data?
We collect only what your profile needs, you can export or delete it at any time, and we never sell it. The privacy notice sets out exactly what we hold and for how long.
