Terms of membership
The rules of using Connections, in plain English.
Accounts
You must be 18 or over to hold an account. One account per person. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything posted from your account. Give accurate information about yourself and your cars.
Basic membership
A basic account is free and has no time limit. It includes a profile, one car, up to 8 pictures, basic search and the forums. We may change what the free account includes, and we will tell members before we do.
Connections Plus
Connections Plus costs £5 per month or £50 for twelve months and adds multiple cars, up to 100 pictures, direct messaging and detailed search. Either option can be cancelled at any time. When you cancel, Plus keeps running until the end of the period you have paid for, then the account reverts to basic. We do not refund part-used periods.
Reverting to basic does not delete anything. Content above the free limits, such as extra cars and pictures, is hidden rather than removed and returns if you upgrade again.
Club trials
Members of invited car clubs may receive Connections Plus free for twelve months. At the end of a trial the account reverts to basic unless the member chooses to pay. Trials are per person and cannot be transferred.
Your content
You keep ownership of your pictures and words. You give us permission to display them on Connections so the platform can work. Only upload material you own the rights to.
Conduct
The community guidelines form part of these terms. Harassment, abuse, romantic or sexual approaches, impersonation, trade advertising and illegal content are grounds for immediate removal without refund.
Meets and drives
Connections helps people find each other. It does not organise, supervise or insure anything that happens afterwards. We do not vet members. Meet in public, drive legally and use your judgement. You take part in any meet or drive at your own risk.
Ending your membership
You can delete your account whenever you want. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms or the guidelines. We can change these terms and will tell members about anything significant in advance.
